Competition Preparation

Hardware / Submission Companion · ~15 MIN · FREE · LOCAL ONLY

Deadlines, formats, screenshots and evidence — the unglamorous work that decides whether an entry runs at all.

Assemble a submission package without last-minute surprises.

  • compo rules
  • deadlines
  • delivery formats
  • screenshots and previews
  • backup captures
  • authorship evidence

Lessons

  1. Read the rules for your compo

Every party publishes rules per competition: allowed platforms, size limits, duration limits, AI policy and deadlines. They differ between parties and between years.

  2. Submit a package, not a file

Organisers expect the production, a readme with credits and run instructions, a screenshot, and often a backup capture. Missing pieces get chased at the worst moment.

  3. Deadlines are earlier than you think

Submission usually closes hours before the compo runs. Aim to be done a day early so a failed test is recoverable.
